These nippers are garbage for doing fine work as the description says they will do. I bought them for precision work and now I am out the price of them. Buyer beware, if you are looking at these to do really fine work such as working on jewelry or modeling then these are not the nippers for you. The caveat is that you must thoroughly clean the pliers of any sap and dry it before putting it away.
